BRIDGING THE GAP IN ALZHEMER'S AND DEMENTIA CARE

Our mission is to enrich the lives of people affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and related conditions by providing interactive, safe, nurturing, intergenerational services and support..

At Hearts & Minds Activity Center, we provide high-quality, person-centered programs for two distinct yet equally vital groups: adults living with dementia and young children in their early developmental years. Our approach honors the unique needs of each population while fostering meaningful opportunities for connection, learning, and growth across generations.

Since our founding in 1984, we have served nearly 7,000 individuals living with dementia and their families through compassionate, enriching adult day services. In 1992, we expanded our model to include a licensed child care center—offering young learners a nurturing, developmentally rich environment where they can grow through play, discovery, and connection.

We are proud to be the first large-capacity, dementia-specific adult day program in the country, and the only center in the region to integrate licensed early childhood education into a shared model of care.

By supporting every generation with dignity, purpose, and connection, we’ve created a vibrant, inclusive community where individuals of all ages can thrive—both independently and together.
